Chris Allen Schrand

Chris attended grade school at St. Mary’s and graduated from Althoff Catholic High School. He was a meticulous finishing carpenter for Barnes Properties, and was formerly employed as the warehouse manager for McCullough’s Flooring. He enjoyed all sports, especially Nascar and dirt track racing. He was a member of the AARA and UMP and lived for Friday night racing at Belle Clair, and Saturdays at Pevely and Highland. He loved working in the yard and helping others. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandson, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Bernice Schrand; and his maternal grandfather, John Vessell.

Surviving are his parents, John “Jack” and Paula, nee Vessell, Schrand, of Belleville, Illinois; his maternal grandmother, Hester Vessell; his siblings, Michael (Julie) Schrand, Timothy Schrand, Laura (Lyle) DeWitt, Mark (Julie) Schrand, and John (Melissa) Schrand; his nieces and nephews, Jaclyn, Ashley, Danielle, Tammy, Brittany, Michael, Caroline, Kaitlynn, Addison, Langston, Lily, and Brooke; his great nephews, Peyson, Lucas, and Bentley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
