

Cody was the son of Jeffery Fryou and Ava Meyer. They both survive him. He is also survived by his sons, Broden Arnt, of Corpus Christi, TX and Cody Paul Fryou Jr. and his daughter, River Mae Fryou of Pevely, MO; his one sister, Brooke (Jamin) Stovall of Roanoke, VA and brother, Curt Fisher Jr. of House Springs, MO; nieces and nephews, Magnolia “Maggie” Stovall, Riley Stovall, Grayson Fisher and Liam Fisher; and a host of family and friends who loved Cody dearly.
Cody was a country bayou boy who enjoyed living life to the fullest. His second home and love was the Bayous of Louisiana. He loved adventure, woodworking, and the outdoors. He played guitar and loved music. He also was a UFC/MMA fighter and went by the name he was most proud of, “Bayou”. He had an infectious smile and personality and enjoyed the simple things in life. He worked in construction and tree cutting and trimming. He was an NDE X-ray and Ultrasonic X-Ray tech for Offshore Jackets /decks and Pipelines. He enjoyed family and friends and to see everyone happy and smiling. He believed in God and had faith and hope that run deep, He loved his children his nieces, nephews and family dearly. Most importantly, he did it his way. He had a huge heart that will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louise and Frank Fryou, of Amelia, LA and Floyd C. Hopper of Columbia, MO.
The family has entrusted Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL with cremation rites.
A memorial service to honor Cody’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
