Ellen Charlotta Carron

Ellen C. Carron, 86, of Highland, IL, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 26, 2022. She was born in Portageville, Missouri to Charlie and Mary (Little) Clark. She married Ronald Carron July 29, 1957. Ellen was a dedicated homemaker for many years. Later in life, she became a published author after spending many years writing her book. She also wrote music and even taught herself how to play the guitar at age 40. She had a passion for art and enjoyed sketching. At the age of 70, Ellen decided to go back to college to work on her bachelor’s degree. Ellen was a devoted follower of Christ and her faith was very important to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Ronda (Gregory) Wiens, Debra Brown and Ron (Christina) Carron; grandchildren, Rachel (Adrian) Maciel, Jesse (Lizeth) Thacker, Dylan Wiens, Brandon Francois, Mindy Hansen, Brandie and Jadan Francois and Grace Carron; great-grandchildren, Jessenia, Simon, Xavien, Eliyana, Gabe, Nora and Justice; great-great-grandchild, Mazzy; sister-in-law, Barbara Reeves. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Carron; 1 brother and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
