Hazel Lottie Holiday Johnson

Mrs. Johnson loved to write, she had written human interest stories for the Ava Citizen newspaper. She also in enjoyed photography, quilting, and flowers. Hazel was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Herbert Johnson, her son, Donald Johnson, her parents, Edward and Armenda “Casey”, nee Bagley, Holiday, two brothers, Calvin and Clarence Holiday, and five sisters; Louise Johnson, Mabel Tope, Madelin Thurman, Nona Bower, Jennie Genovis.

Surviving are her son, Lloyd (Barbara) Johnson of Belleville, Illinois, daughter, Helen (Daniel) Allen of Belleville, Illinois, seven grandchildren, David (Cindy) Johnson, Darla (Greg) Toensing, Michael Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Suzanne Klucker, Steve (Angela) Allen, and Matthew (Jerri) Allen, twenty-two great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, a brother, Kent Holiday of Ava, Illinois, a sister, Billie Holiday of Belleville, Illinois, a daughter-in-law, Jean Johnson of Columbia, Illinois, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Service: Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
