James served in the US Army from August 9,1962 to August 7, 1964, with honorable discharge.
James was a retired Operating Engineer, Local 520 Batch Plant Operator for Reese Asphalt Construction Co.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with his hands, and just being at home in West Virginia. He enjoyed watching Football and Baseball both Pro and College teams. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughters Barbara Clark of St. Louis, MO and Audrey (Joe) Campbell of Waterloo, IL. Siblings, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Clark and son James Albert Clark Jr. Parents Clarence and Audrey Clark.
The visitation and service for James are as follows: Wednesday April 22, 2026. Family Viewing (9:00am - 10:00am); Family and Friends Viewing (10:00am - 12:00pm); Funeral Service (12:00pm - 1:00pm); and Burial (1:15pm) at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208.
