To my Uncle Corkey.  There was a time in my 20's when Mom and Dad lived in Germany.  I spent some time with you and Aunt Doris because I had some medical issues going on.  When you finally took me home the doctor had said that I needed to be in the sun for an hour a day.  Every day around 11 o'clock you came over, took out my lawn chair, helped me down the steps and into my chair.  You left and went home about a hour later you came back to make sure I got in the house and brought in my lawn chair.  You did that for me for a week.  

I will never be able to thank you enough for doing that for me.  I love you and will miss you.

My name is Hoyle Riggins. I met John in Korea as we were replacements for  the troops coming home. It was a National Guard unit from Canton, OH, the 987th AFA B battery. We were assigned to a gun in the battery which had 6 guns, 6 men to each gun. We had a job to do in a close space and there could not be any  friction among the men.

John and I became fast friends and have been till this day.

John, I want to thank you for being my friend all these years. You will always be in my heart. God Bless You.

Uncle Corky you will be missed, I remember the times as a young girl I would get to come to your house in caseyville and stay a few days Oh how I loved doing that my memory takes me to Aunt Doris teaching me how to make chile and how not to bite my nails and to grow pretty long nails, and when you would come in from work You would ask what did you girls do today, thats just a touch of my memories

John ...the biggest "tip" you ever gave me was to look into the VA for help, with my cancer medicine.  I enjoy talking to you years ago the the CB Radio.  I also enjoyed working with you on your computer. You will be missed by me and your family. I know you are with your wonderful wife.
