John Willson West III, 33, of Belleville, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born September 27, 1990 in Belleville to John and Cheryl West Jr. John graduated from SIUE with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. John’s love for computers and technology led him to continue his education, as he was most recently taking cyber security classes.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his father, John W. (Debra) West Jr.; sister, Melissa (Lindsey Giffey) West; paternal grandfather, John W. (Shirley) West Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. John was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl West; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Jean Hunt; paternal great grandparents, Dr. Wilson H. and Mildred West.
Johnny was the most loving and caring son a father could wish for. He showed the same caring and compassion to all who gave him a chance.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to a local food pantry of your choice.
