Joselyn Denise Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois on Aug. 12, 1956, and was one of four children born to Paul Williams and Alfreda Nelson. Joselyn received her early education from William Grade School and later went on to receive her GED.
Joselyn was known for speaking her mind, a straight shooter, but once you got to know her, one would find that she had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need. Joselyn gave to many charities during her lifetime. She also had a passion for reading with her favorite author being Stephen King, and a deep love of music, some of her favorite musicians being Elton John, the Funkadelics, but her all time favorite artist was none other than Stevie Wonder. Joselyn gave her life to Christ later in life and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Daniel Cross.
Joselyn worked for the Williamson County Highway Dept until she retired in 2018 & was married to Claude “Johnny” Johnson until his passing.
Joselyn leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Nina Williams, her mother Alfreda Davis, siblings, Paula Williams, Valerie Williams, Damion Davis & Ivory Davis, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. “Special” Niece Damilia Baker, aka “Chilly” and many other relatives and close friends. Special friends Margaret Rolerkite, Sam Davis, Lisa Bartlett, and Gina Hart, who was also her caregiver. Joselyn also leaves behind her beloved animals “Paws, Missy & Spot”.

I Thought of You Today
I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
I thought of you yesterday and will tomorrow too.
I think of you in silence and make no outward show.
For what it meant to lose you, only those who love you know.
Remembering you is easy, I do it every day.
It’s the heartbreak of losing you that will never go away
