Krista Leann McCartney

Krista had graduated from Collinsville High School in 2005. She was President of the high school year book her senior year and was a member of the National Association of Student Council. She also attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, MO. Krista had worked for J.C. Penny’s in Fairview Heights, IL, Springfield, MO, Killeen, TX and Overland Park, MO. She also had worked for Kohls in Collinsville, IL. She enjoying cooking, baking, shopping and going to starbucks with her friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her two nieces who she adored. Krista will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hiram and Anna Mae McCartney and maternal grandparents, Herman and Sylvia Clanney.

Surviving are her parents, Mike and Mary nee Clanney McCartney of Collinsville, IL; three sisters, Angela McCartney of Collinsville, IL, Jessica (AJ) Englerth of Killeen, TX and Michelle (Johnathan) Kahn of Valley Park, MO; two, nieces, Zoe and Taylor; grandmother, LaVerne Clanney of Hazelwood, MO; three best friends; Rachel, Emily and Erin and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL. And on Monday, April 16, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Edgemont Bible Church, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Edgemont Bible Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Doug White officiating.

Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
