Leanna Jenkins

Leanna Jenkins, 86, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. She was born December 3, 1937 in East St. Louis to John and Marie (Wilkens) Robbins. She graduated from Collinsville High School. Leanna married the love of her life, Thomas E. Jenkins, on November 10, 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairview Heights. Leanna found great joy volunteering in her spare time at Grandmas Attic in Maryville and First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville. She had a passion for gardening and working in her yard. Leanna dedicated her life to selflessly serving and giving to others, leaving an impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Jeri Beil, John Samuel (Todd Latham) Jenkins and Jill (Nicholas) Arconati; grandchildren, James Thomas (Amanda Outland) Beil, Jason Jerard Jenkins Beil, Brooke (Jacob), Ashley (Michael) and Danielle (Jack); great-grandchildren, TJ, Noah, Mary Cate, Aleah, Gabriel, JT and Archer; sisters, Garnita (Elmer) Gravot and Frances Haney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas E. Jenkins; son, Samuel Thomas Jenkins; brothers, John, Wesley and Paul Robbins and sister, Joyetta Lusardo.

A visitation for Leanna will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:00am in the funeral home with a visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or VITAS hospice.
