Linda Hope Shults, 72, of Red Bud, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was born January 8, 1950 in Alorton, IL to Melvin and Hope (Granget) Haas. She married the love of her life, Kevin Shults, August 20, 1983 in the Presbyterian Church in Sparta, IL. Linda spent over 20 years working for the Monroe County Health Department in Family Planning, retiring January 30, 2014. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Linda enjoyed getting done up and was always well put together anytime she would leave the house, whether it was to go shopping or simply going on a walk, both of which she loved doing. She also had a passion for motorcycle riding with husband, Kevin. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Kevin Shults; daughter, Michelle (Matt) Haddick; step-daughter, Charity (Jason) Metheny; grandchildren, Sydney Haddick, Savannah Trotter and Jackson Metheny; sister, Patricia Rudroff and her sweet fur baby, Shadow. Linda is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 11:00am until time of service. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to BackStoppers of Monroe County.
