Marcella was born on June 3,1926 in Dupo, Illinois to George Pluff and Lenore Pluff (nee Levin).
Marcella married her loving husband, Leo Sumoski in 1948.
Marcella loved traveling and spending time at Lake of Egypt near Marion, Illinois. She enjoyed crafting and gardening. She especially loved her “hard candies” and Cheetos Balls!
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lenore Pluff; husband, Leo Sumoski; son, Rodney Sumoski; sisters, Wanda Portell and Delores Grotefendt.
Marcella is survived by her sons: Charles (Pam) Sumoski, Daniel (Donna – deceased) Sumoski, and Dale (Mary) Sumoski; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Marcella on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208. Following the visitation, the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00pm.
