Marilyn Sue Shane, 70, of Madison, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was born on July 1, 1951 in Belleville to Owen and Esther Shane. Marilyn started her career in nursing and throughout the years she was a caregiver for family members and friends. She worked for Belleville Memorial as well as the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her fiancé, Robert Wawrzyniak; daughters, Carolyn (Kelly Timmons) Rushing and Ranae (Anthony) Stevenson; grandchildren, Brandon Rushing, Austin Cook, Aaron Cook, David Lambert Jr., Michael Andrew and Heavenlee Rushing; 9 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Carolyn Anderson; brother, Joseph (Mary) Shane. Predeceased by her parents; son, Jeromie Rushing and granddaughter, Lacie Harsh.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
