

Melvin was a United States Marine. He retired after 28 years from General Motors, St. Louis, MO. He was affiliated with State Park Assembly of God, State Park, Ill. He loved to fish, hunt, bowl and especially loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Ruth, nee Jeffers, Wilson; and four brother-in-laws, George Shire, Jim Spink, Jerry Sinclair, and Clifford Cline.
Surviving are his loving wife of 17 years, Mary Lou Wilson, nee Cline who he married on May 20, 1995; his son, Michael (Tami) Wilson and a granddaughter, Brenda Wilson; three sisters, Lola Shire, Juanita Spink, Margaret Wilson, and a brother, Bill Wilson; dear friends, Jerry (Carol) Vanatter and Roger (Sharon) Davis and dear family cousin, Gene (Lorraine) Dyer; and three sister-in-laws, Sandy (Mike) Nevinger, Shirley Sinclair, Jan Cline and a brother-in-law Arthur Cline and dear nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and a beloved dog, Pepper.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Wilson officiating. Interment will be held at 12:15 P.M. graveside at McKendree Chapel Cemetery, 9009 Keyesport, Keyesport, Ill., 62253
