During her life, she was a successful restaurant and bar owner. After retiring, she went on to spend time with family in Hamburg Pennsylvania and then moved to Florida to be near her grandson for a short period, before becoming ill and moving to Illinois to be near her son.
She loved watching the Phillies play baseball and spending time with family. She was very proud of her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Elvas and parents Donald and Dorothy Jean Henry.
She is survived by her son, Jan Van Horn; four grandchildren; Jan Van Horn III, Vincent Van Horn, Andrea Rollins, and Jose Elvas; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She brought so much joy to our lives.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, followed by a memorial service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
