Orville Neil Cresswell

Mr. Cresswell was retired from Royal Packing Co. of National City, Illinois where he was a butcher for 24 years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois where he actively served on several committees. He also served as past president of the Christ United Methodist Men.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville J. and Hattie (nee Ennis) Cresswell, daughter Karen (nee Cresswell) May, and sisters Helen Harbin and Carol Ray.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret G. (nee Wright) Cresswell, whom he married on May 10, 1952; his children David (Pam) Cresswell of Hondo Texas, Dale (Rhonda) Cresswell of Millstadt, Illinois, and Peggy (Rick) Masterson of O’Fallon, Illinois. 6 grandchildren, Jessica & Michael Cresswell of Belleville, Illinois Nicholas Cresswell of Vancouver, Washington, and Mariah, Aubrey and Keegan Masterson of O’Fallon, Illinois; dear friends Rick (Deb) Bohnenstiehl of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Randy Bohennstiehl of Belleville, Illinois, brother in law Curtis Ray, nieces, nephews and many friends.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois Relais Bonne Eau Community Hospice Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home with Rev. Bernie Kneale officiating.

Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois
