Bob worked for over 40 years at Peerless Premier Appliance Company in Belleville, Illinois and was a member of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics, and Allied Workers Union Local 182. He loved gardening and canning what he grew; he always insisted on sampling his latest salsa or preserve. He was a
wonderful neighbor who would always do for others, even before himself. He was an avid pig collector; whether it was glass, ceramic, plastic, or stuffed, he had it.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Mildred, nee Kramer, Counsell; a sister, in infancy, Marjorie Ann Counsell; and a sister, Marjorie A. Oliver.
He is survived by his brothers, James Counsell, of Dupo, Illinois, Thomas (Patricia) Counsell, of Belleville, Ill., and Dennis (Dolores) Counsell, of Belleville, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Oliver, Jr., of Belleville, Illinois, 13 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
