I will remember Steves last days as not his happiest but he was a trooper in his fight to beat his cancer. He did not give up even till his last breath. Steve will always be in my thoughts because he was my friend and most of all a great cousin. I will miss his funny sense of humor and his grin when he knew he had told you a good story. You are home now and we will see you again on that glorius day. Rest well Steve.

Ellen, so sorry to hear the news of Steve's passing.  I know that your Mom and Dad will welcome him into heaven.  Prayers for you and his family.

Memories flood at a time like this, his picture at Christmas when he was four with a toy Colt 44 strapped at his waist and trying to be a tough cowboy with a grin, watching when he was in Boy Scouts and him and two other scouts had to cook a full meal over the campfire for their fathers who had to eat it. when he made Order of the Arrow and when he got his first dirt bike a Susuki I said sounded like a popcorn popper, as an alter boy at Christmas and Pastor Gardels commented on his playboy bunny cuff links,he played the alto saxaphone and drums, his cockeyed grinn and how he could tell a story with a straight face, wishing you smooth skyways and fair winds, be at peace love Mom

My dear friend,, Steve was my date at the senior prom in 1972. We stayed friends thru the years. He was a both a tough guy and a sweetheart,, and a hard working man. 

He had a gentle laugh, that would sneak into his stories as he talked. He was very humble in a funny sort of way. He would be reading all this and say "What, who me?' Then he would smile. 


His mother, sister, uncle, cousins and friends loved him very much. His true love was Ellen, the only woman that completely won his heart and eternal loyality. 

You will never be very far away from those who love you my friend.

May God take Steve in his arms and show him true Peace.

Sheila and I met in Junior High and are still good friends to this day. Along with Sheila came her brother Steve and "lots" of laughs. Steve had a wonderful sense of humor. I can still hear his laugh and see him smiling forty years later. You will be missed.

I haven't seen Steve in a very long time, but still consider him to be a really good friend. We had a lot of fun together when we were young. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, and hope for all of the Cobb family, that peace will accompany your sorrow.
I hope to see my friend again someday, welcoming me to his new life of joy and happiness.

I did not know Stephan, but I do know his sister Shiela. If he was anything like her, then he was one fine man. I grieve for all your loss with this man. May he rest in peace

One thing I always loved about my brother was how he could tell a story. He would have us crying with laughter over some of the simplest of life events. I still smile recalling how he recounted getting banned from a shooting range in St.Louis; his expression was so bland, tone of voice so innocent, but his eyes were sparkling with laughter.  I'll miss that. I know I won't have it as hard as Ellen , Jimmy, and Renard, as he was part of their daily life; to me he will always be alive in my heart and memories. Rest well, Steve.
