Tynisha Dawn Plummer

Tynisha was born in Wichita, KS to Greg and Marcia (Marteney) Plummer on March 26, 1981. She grew up in a military family, living in Kansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Germany and Illinois.

She graduated with honors from Edwardsville High School in 1999.

She was employed at Walmart for 15 years, working as a certified pharmacy tech.

She enjoyed hiking, exploring and collecting sentimental items along the way. She enjoyed crafts and reading. She was very competitive and loved March Madness and Fantasy Football.

She lived her life fully, on her own terms. She loved her children dearly, as well as all of their friends. She was a loyal friend, and loved and accepted you as you were. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tynisha is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ryleigh Jayne Murphy, her paternal grandparents Virgil Plummer and Iva Sory and maternal grandparents Wayne and Janea Marteney

She leaves behind her three children, son Jacob Murphy, of Bloomington, IL, daughter Hannah Murphy, of Windsor, IL, and son Owen Murphy, of Windsor, IL. She is also survived by her parents, Greg and Marcia Plummer, of Glen Carbon, IL, brother Scott Plummer (Anessa), of Glen Carbon, IL, sister Cierra Winkelmann (Erich), of New Douglass, IL, brother Jason Plummer, of Bakersfield, CA and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home, at 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL, on Friday October 17, 2025, viewing at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, service at 12:00 PM. Burial immediately following at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
