William A Mathews

Bill resided in Caseyville, IL. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born and raised in East Saint Louis and was a talented high school football player. Bill married Dana at 16 and started raising their family. They shared a true love that lasted until his death after 63 years of marriage. Bill was a truck driver, and he enjoyed his work and found pleasure in being on the road. His hobbies included fishing, baseball, football, and gambling. Bill loved his family above all else, and was a dedicated father and husband.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia (nee Zeepaert) Mathews; daughter, Lisa Mathews; cousin, Charlotte Annex.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dana Mathews; sons, Raymond Mathews, Steven Mathews; daughters Vickie Dickerson, Suzie Mathews (Vic Kimbell); grandchildren, Cassandra Owens, Megan Dickerson, Samuel Mathews, Christopher Dickerson, Zane Mathews; great grandchildren, Ayla, Gemma; sister in law, Debra (Rico) Murillo; brother in law, Frank Reeves; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation is 9 am to 1 pm, funeral service and burial is to take place at 1 pm at Lake View Funeral Home 5000 N Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
