

Bill was born with Cerebral Palsy, with treatment by a specialist, he was walking by the age of 6. He attended Grant School in Fairview Heights, and went to Belleville Township High School for 2 years. He worked at the Railway Exchange Building in St. Louis, it was the home of Stix, Bear and Fuller. He worked there for 39 years in building maintenance. He was a hardworking and well liked employee. He was active in earlier years with the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He had many friends and will be remembered for his contagious smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore H. Dressel, Sr. and Helen C. Dressel, nee Rohm; his step-mother, Ruth Dressel Stephenson; and his step-brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Carol Stephenson.
Surviving are his brother, Theodore H. (Brenda) Dressel, Jr., of Edwardsville, Illinois; two nieces, Lisa (Bob) Holquist, of Chatham, Illinois and Laura (Tom) Yockel, of Maryland; a nephew, Keith W. Dressel, also of Maryland; his great nieces and nephews, Chris, Jordan, Brittany, Tyler, Justin, and Kayla; a step-sister, Jeanette (Mick) Baack; a step-brother, Gerald (Jean) Stephenson; and step-nephews, Kent, Matt, Curt, Clark, Jon, Don, and Phillip; and a step-niece, Danielle.

Funeral: Services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois with Father Daniel Bergbower officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
