Elza was born on July 29, 1938 in Hotiza, Slovenia to Michael and Vera. Loving wife of Joseph
for 44 years, beloved mother of Doris and Joe. Cherished sister to Steve (Vera), Joe (Vida), Janez (Margit) and Anton (Branka). She loved her many cousins, nieces and nephews, in addition to many friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and sister, Nada.
Elza worked as a bookkeeper while in Slovenia and was a proud homemaker after moving to the U.S. She cherished any time spent with family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed numerous hobbies – cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, stamp collecting and gardening. However, her favorite was growing flowers all around the house, both inside and out.
A visitation for Elza will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, Ohio, followed by an 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, Ohio.
