For 21 wonderful years, Ian was the cherished husband of Christina (née Holstein) Haggerty. He was the proud and loving father of Pidge and Ian Haggerty and a devoted son to John and Elizabeth Haggerty. Ian was a beloved brother to Megan (John) Wellman and a treasured son-in-law of Richard (Margie O’Keeffe), the late Brigitte Mihalic, and the late Bill Holstein (Mary Massey). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Linda Elliott, Leslie Holstein (Jim Bowes), Eileen Damm (Donald Deceased), and his brother-in-law Richard Mihalic (Gabriel Lavery). Ian was an adored uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Family was the cornerstone of Ian’s life. He was dedicated to raising his two children and loved taking his family on many travels and adventures. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. Ian had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones, filling the room with joy, laughter, and unforgettable stories. A lifelong Celtic FC fan, dedicated soccer player, and a volunteer youth coach, Ian brought the same enthusiasm to his life as he did to the sport he loved.
Ian’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever miss his kindness, laughter, and boundless love.
A visitation for Ian will be held on Sunday December 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM, located at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126.
