Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John F. and Ellen (Powers) O’Brien, she lived in Swansea for many years before moving back to Fall River in 1988.
Mrs. Wilkins worked in the textile industry for many years prior to working at Holiday Inn as the Executive Housekeeper. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Rita Pimental, Christopher O’Brien, Bertha Bird, Catherine Keating, Helen Canfield, Loretta Michaud, Margaret Furtado, Mary Sylvester, Claire Jordan, Emily Ferreira, and Raymond O’Brien.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 8:30 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring St, Fall River. Visiting hours prior to her service from 8:30 to 9:30 in the Funeral Home. Contributions in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
