

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Mary Ellen (Burke) Hurst, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1941, she also graduated with honors from Bristol Community College in 1979. She worked in the accounting department at the former Cherry and Webb and for the Fall River School Department for 20 years before retiring in 1989.
She was a communicant of Holy Name Church, was a member of the Catholic Woman’s Club, Immaculate Conception Woman’s Guild, and was the recipient of the Marion Medal. She volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul and was a leader of Girl Scout troop 1095 for 20 years. She was an avid gardener and swimmer, and cookie baker.
She is survived by one daughter; Dr. Patricia Yeaman of Meriden, CT, one son; Paul Yeaman and his wife Debbie of Uxbridge, MA, one sister; Mildred Zuhars of St. Petersburg, FL, four grandchildren; Paul Yeaman Jr., Tara Labbe, and Tracie and Brandon Yeaman, seven great-grandchildren; Vivian, Ketherine, Peter, Lucia, Anna, Ethan, and Andrew, and several nieces and nephews, including Mary, Teresa, and Michael. She was the mother of the late Peter Yeaman Jr.
