

Antonio “Tony” G. D’Adamo, 83, of Fall River passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Joan (Henry) D’Adamo to whom he had been married for the past 59 years.
Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Frederico D’Adamo and Vincenza (Lucciola) D’Adamo. He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1949 and Bryant University, Class of 1952. He served in the United States Army stateside for two years.
Tony spent the majority of his career as the Comptroller of Cherry and Webb Company and later as Comptroller and Budget Director for the City of Fall River. He was also the co-owner of D’Adamo’s Tax service for many years.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church and a member of the Masons. He was a proud member of the Italian American War Veterans Post # 10, the Loggia Vittorio Veneto # 1035, Order of Sons of Italy in America and its bocce league. He has served on the Board of Directors of St. Anne’s Credit Union of Fall River, Mass. for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Joanne Judge and her husband Joseph of Barrington, his sons, Paul F. D’Adamo and his wife Lynn of North Attleboro and Anthony G. D’Adamo and his wife Jonna of Barrington and his sister, Aurora Perry of Fall River. He also leaves his cherished seven grandchildren: Ainsley, Elise, Joseph, Alan, Patrick, Alexa and Andrew and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00 o’clock at the First Congregational Church, 282 Rock Street, Fall River. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, MA from 5:00-8:00 pm.
