Barbara M. McCormack

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Rita V. (Smith) Keane and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse at Fall River General and at Truesdale Hospital for many years.

Barbara loved the beach and spending summers with the beach gang, the Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade, sunning by the pool with Sue and Gwen, travels with her cousin Shirley, adventures with her best friend Carol and above all else, spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by six sons, Michael McCormack and his wife Cathleen of Tiverton, Kevin McCormack and his significant other Sandy Roies of Westport, Thomas McCormack, III and his wife Susan of Tiverton, Patrick McCormack and his wife Jill of Tiverton, Brian McCormack of Tiverton and James McCormack of Westport; six grandsons, Michael, Daniel, Thomas IV, Matthew, Ethan and Ryan McCormack; one sister, Sharon Major and her husband Steven of Westport; her best friend, Carol Henry of Newport as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas F. Keane, Jr.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, 265 Stafford Rd., Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Contributions in Barbara’s honor may be made to Salesian Mission International, 2 Le Fevres Ln, New Rochelle, NY 10801. Flowers are welcome.
