Carol A. Moura, age 77, of Fall River, passed away January 18, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital after a short illness. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Goodman) Moura. Carol was a lifelong resident of Fall River and New Bedford.
Carol was a proud graduate of Diman Nursing School and Bristol Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital for over 25 years and retired as a nursing supervisor at Catholic Memorial Home.
A skilled homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and crafting of all types.
Beloved mother to Peter Dowd of Fall River, MA and Patrick Dowd of Huntersville NC, sister to the Late John F. Moura of New Bedford, MA, Frances Ortiz of Deerfield Beach, FL, Donna Arruda of New Bedford, MA, and Donald Silva of New Bedford, MA, she was very proud of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
