Lt. Col. Dorothy L. Clorite US Army (Ret.), “Dot,” age 91, of Branford, CT, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at her residence. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Philip A. Clorite Sr. and Diana (Marquis) Clorite, she lived in Fall River for many years and Bushnell, Florida before moving to Branford, CT in 2005.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1941, she attended St. Anne’s School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Boston College. A Veteran of the United States Army Nurse Corps she served in Korean, Japan, Germany, and throughout the United States, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1974.
After retirement she enjoyed traveling throughout the country in her camper.
She is survived by one brother: Philip Clorite Jr. and his wife Betty of Madison CT, nephews and nieces: Michael, Philip III, Bill, and Timothy Clorite, Linda Caisse, Christine St. Claire, and many great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
