Edward R. Poitras

Edward R. Poitras, age 55, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Fall River, he was the beloved son of Audrey (Wadsworth) Poitras and the late Rene L. Poitras.

Edward had a deep passion for riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, which brought him immense joy throughout his life. He carried his memories through his tattoos, never hesitating to add to the collection. Whenever you saw Eddie, you could bet he’d be wearing a tie-dye shirt, jean shorts, and Converse sneakers. His carefree style perfectly matched his laid-back personality, making him instantly recognizable in any crowd. Eddie’s signature look was always a comforting and familiar sight. Eddie’s love for rock and roll was just as evident; you could always count on his favorite tunes playing on the radio wherever he went. He cherished the moments spent with family and friends, always valuing their companionship and the simple pleasures of life.

Along with his mother, survivors include his daughter, Mary Jane Poitras of Davenport, FL; his sisters: Susan Poitras of Kissimmee, FL and Lori Poitras of Fall River; his niece Casey Paul Melo of Fall River along with three great nieces and nephews.
