Gaetano "Guy" Lucciola

Gaetano “Guy” Lucciola 81 of Fall River, died Mon. Dec. 15, 2014 in Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Polselli) Lucciola to whom he has been married for the past fifty six years.

Born in Casserta, Italy, son of the late Rocco and Luigia (Verrico) Lucciola, he attended high school in Italy and served in the Naples Italy Police Department for six years.

Mr. Lucciola came to Fall River in 1958, worked at Kay Winsor in New Bedford, later he worked for fourteen years at the Star Fashion Company as a foreman, and retired from the Fall River Housing Authority. He was a member and trustee for the Loggia Vittorio Veneto #1035 Order of Sons of Italy in America, and a communicant of Holy Rosary Chapel.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Gina DeMello, Sandra Almeida and her husband Carl, one son Randy Lucciola, father of the late Rocco G. Lucciola, one brother Mario Lucciola and one sister Mattia Russo, three beloved grandchildren Erica DeMello, Dylan Almeida and Giannce Lucciola and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Sat. Dec.20, 2014, at 10AM in Holy Rosary Chapel 120 Beattie St. Fall River. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri. 5-8PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter, Fall River. His brother in law the Rev. Leo Polselli CSC, will be the principal celebrant of the Mass. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Congregation of the Holy Cross US, Province of Priests and Brothers P. O. Box 765 Notre Dame, IN. 46556. . Members of the Loggia Vittorio Veneto Lodge #1053 Order of Sons of Italy in American are asked to meet Friday evening at 7PM, at the funeral home, to perform their ritual.
