Born in Swansea, a son of the late Charles R. and Lillian (Kelsall) Stark, he lived in Swansea most of his life before moving to Fall River.
Mr. Stark was a miller machine operator at the Foxboro Company for 19 years before retiring in 1993. Prior to that he worked at Interstate Venetian Blind Company for 25 years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by two daughters; Sheila Veloza and her husband Michael of Manomet, MA and Lois Ann Machado of Mattapoisett, one son; Irving Stark Jr. and his wife Liz of Kissimmee, FL, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was father-in-law of the late Carl Machado.
His funeral will be held Thursday November 8, 2012 at 11:30 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions on his honor may be made to Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial private.
