James E. Lenaghan

Born in Fall River, son of the late James E. Lenaghan Jr. and the late Theresa (O’Gara) Lenaghan. He was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School and SMU, now UMass Dartmouth Class of 1970 with a BA in History. Jim was a claims manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. for thirty-four years, retiring in 2009.

He was a member of the National Guard, an avid golfer, a member of Montaup Country Club, Fall River lodge of Elks #118, and enjoyed traveling and the beach.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Kristen Camara and her husband David of Somerset, Erin Whiting and her husband Matthew of Southboro, one brother Thomas Lenaghan of Maplegrove, MN., four sisters: Carolyn Lenaghan of Fall River, Joan Wieser of Miami, FL., Mary Lenaghan of Fall River, and Patricia Lenaghan of Longmeadow, three grandchildren: Gavin and Kallie Camara and Ryan Whiting, and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 9:30 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church 1345 No. Main St. Fall River.
