James S. Pacheco

James S. Pacheco, “Jimmy Spear,” age 79, of Westport, passed away at his residence Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was the husband of Linda M. (Santos) Pacheco to whom he has been married for 52 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel S. and Maria (Estrella) Pacheco, he was a longtime resident of Westport.
Jim worked as a stockman for General Motors for over thirty years prior to retiring in 2008. An avid New York Giants and Yankees fan, he loved watching football. He enjoyed being in the comfort of his own home and the presence of his family.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by one daughter, Joy Gagliardi and her husband Frank of Fall River; two sons, James and Richard Pacheco of Fall River; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Billy Almeida and brother of the late Dolores Pacheco Jankowski.
His visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28 , 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St. Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY, 10163-4777. Burial private.
