Born in Fall River, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas E. Sr. and Henrietta A. “Etta” (Czehowski) Lynch. Joan’s life was filled with passions that brought her joy, including horseback riding, boating, and spending time at the beach where she loved collecting seashells and sea life. She had a love for parties and was a fan of Nicolas Cage films.
She is survived by her son, Jason Linhares, and his wife, Stephanie, of Assonet; her daughter, Kaitlyn Linhares, of Fall River; and her cherished granddaughters, Jasmine and Alexis. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Richard Lynch, of Framingham; along with nephews Alex Lynch, Chris Lynch, Harry Lynch, Nate Lynch, and Matt Lynch; cousins Maureen Walsh, Kerry Sweeney, and Shannon Sweeney Saunders; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Correia, Jr., and her brother, Thomas Lynch.
