Sparky was the son of Cynthia (Loudon) Isherwood and the late John F. Isherwood, Jr. An avid and committed sailor, Sparky crewed aboard a J-30 that won Block Island Race week (1982), and the J-30 North Americans (1983 & 1984) and has been a steady crew member aboard David Saurette’s J-35 Seraphim. Sparky grew up in Tiverton and after high school traveled the Caribbean and eventually found his home in Red Hook, St. Thomas, USVI for 30 years. Sparky loved St. Thomas and sailing the Caribbean islands but eventually returned home to Tiverton where he continued his enjoyment of the life of a sailor and being at peace with the sea.

Kingstown, Karin Coulter and her husband RJ of Jamestown, and Christopher Isherwood of Newport; eight nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Patrick, Andrew, Emily, Matthew, Victoria, Ella and Meredith and an uncle, Alan Isherwood, of Plymouth, MA.
