Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Harold Freelove Sr. and Gertrude (Tripp) Freelove, she was a lifelong resident of Westport and wintered in Palm Bay, Florida.
Leanna was a Dental Assistant for many years. She was a member of the Bristol County Snow Riders. She enjoyed travelling across the country in her motorhome with her husband. Her love for animals was a big part of who she was, and her cats were especially dear to her.
She is survived by three children, Judith Gendreau of Somerset, Normand “Brad” Gendreau and his partner Marie Santos of Tiverton, Sandra L. Amarello of Westport; four grandchildren; Heidi Gendreau of Westport, Shane Gendreau of Tiverton, Justin Gendreau of Westport and Andrea Bibeau of Swansea, eight great-grandchildren, Chloe, Braden, Nicole, Caitlin, Shayne, Logan, Brennan and Peyton; six great-great grandchildren, Trenton, Camryn, Benson, Meadow, Abigail and Jackman. She was the sister of the late Harold Freelove, Jr. and great-grandmother of the late Bianca Cardoza.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 12:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Her visitation will be held prior to her service from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721.
