Born in Fall River, a daughter of Emily (Alves) Coelho and the late Alfred M. Coelho, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
She worked at the Fall River City Hall for 10 years, and for the last 16 years has been working for Verizon.
If you knew Lori, you could never forget her. She would turn your frown upside down and found joy in doing so. She was a tremendously generous person. She was always giving to those in need, and had hoped to one day become a foster parent and open her own children’s consignment shop.
Lori lived life to the fullest. She always followed her heart, a heart of pure gold. A heart that perpetuated kindness, joy, and love. She loved her family. A loving mother, amazing daughter, great sibling, admirable friend and just a beautiful human being. She was a free spirit, always chasing adventure and filling time with merriment. She was a huge Patriots fan who loved to dance, go to concerts, listen to music, go to the beach, cruise around in her convertible, read, watch movies and spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother Emily, she is survived by a daughter: Kara Andrea and her husband Craig of Fall River, five siblings: Fred Coelho and his wife Lynne of Strafford, NH, Cathy Rothwell of Somerset, David Coelho of Hawaii, Diane Coelho of Barrington, and Ken Coelho and his wife Beth of Westport, longtime companion: Tony Almeida of Fall River, Kara’s father: Gino Rodrigues of Fall River, twelve nieces and nephews: Kaelyn Medeiros and her husband Josh, Nicholas Rothwell, Sarah Bedard, Addison Medeiros, Sarah LaMalfa and her husband Nick and their children Gianna and Vinny, David Hurley, Nathan, Lisa, James and Luke Coelho, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
