

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Adrien J. and Stella R. (Hebda) Chouinard, Ronnie was a graduate of Durfee High School, Class of 1963 and was just one class shy of earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from SMU. He worked for Capitol Caterers for many years operating a catering truck that served the various mills in Fall River to offer food and refreshment during lunch and break time, before retiring in 2005.
Family was everything to Ronnie and he was happiest when everyone gathered at the homestead on Duluth Street. He loved cooking with his sister and brothers and their children on Pierogi Weekend, and hosted many a Sunday and Christmas dinners. He enjoyed music and singing karaoke style with his siblings, listening to the Polish Hour and WSAR, playing cards and horseshoes, trying his luck on scratch tickets, and playing his numbers. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, quiet demeanor, resolve, and bravery.
Ronnie was the beloved brother of the late William A., Lawrence P., and Roger J. Chouinard, and Carol A. Pilotte. He is survived by his in-laws: Joanne, Patricia, and Joan Chouinard, and Leonard Pilotte; eleven nieces and nephews: Kimberly J. Smith, Kerrie E. Poore, Eric A. Pilotte, Tara A. Chouinard, Melissa A. Pavao, Joshua A. Chouinard, Andrew J. Chouinard, Holly Audet, Kim Cornwell, Cherie Chaves, and Stacy Audet; and seventeen great nieces and nephews: Mia, Thomas, Dierdre, Monica, Stella, Scarlett, Brittany, Jacob, Phoebe, Zachary, Michael, Hannah, Grayson, Helena, Katherine, Avery, and Areya; along with many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10am in Notre Dame Cemetery (Newhall St. Entrance) Fall River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Way of Greater Fall River, PO Box 2550, Fall River, MA 02722.
