

Born in Fall River, Steven was the son of the late Roland and Marlene (Johnson) Brabant and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a 1978 graduate of Bishop Stang High School and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served honorably as an Airman First Class.
Steven most recently retired from his position as the overnight manager at Home Depot. Prior to that, he worked as a laborer at F.L. Smith. A man of adventure and spirit, Steven enjoyed motorcycle rides, scuba diving, and skydiving. He cherished time spent with family and friends above all.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Brabant of Massachusetts; two stepdaughters, Lisa Schmick and her husband George of the Netherlands, and Laura Williams of Lebanon, Oregon; three brothers, Michael Brabant of Rhode Island, Ronald Brabant of North Carolina and Carl Duchaine of Massachusetts; two sisters, Celina Brabant of Illinois and Loralee Levesque of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, George Bruno Schmick IV and Alexander J. Schmick, along with many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Eric and Thomas Brabant.
His Visitation will be held at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, concluding with military honors. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be private.
