Wanda M. (Arnold) Edwards, age 67, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 23, 2023 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Mark L. Edwards, to whom she had been married for 40 years.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Hullings) Arnold, Wanda went on to study scientific and technical illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Wanda pursued many forms of work from cutting glass at Princess House to shop floor work at Milton Bradley to painting high-end bathroom fixtures for Sherle Wagner International. She was also an art teacher for some time at the St. Stanislaus School in Fall River. Her passion and work for the last 15 years however, was in producing Torn Paper Paintings (www.tornpaperpaintings.com). Wanda was a member of the Westport Art Group and South Coast Artists Association and a well-respected and creative artist who enjoyed sharing her unique process through workshops.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sarah S.E. Kastrinelis and her husband Eric of Hopedale, MA and Wendy Edwards of Boscawen, NH; a brother Raymond Arnold, Jr of Stamford, New York and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00AM in the United Congregational Church, The Commons, Little Compton, Rhode Island.
