Passed away peacefully on November 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She bravely endured Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years with grace and dignity.
Ana was born in Cobija, Bolivia, on July 23, 1930. She was the daughter of Alberto Lavadenz Reyes and Modesta Ribera Menacho. Her family moved to the United States in September 1966, she became a U.S. citizen in August 2005, and she remained in this country the rest of the life. She was a genteel and kind lady and was always happiest when surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Sandra Scioville (Walter Weedman) and Rebecca Wagner Tamayo, her two grandchildren Nicole Quiroga and Marcel Scioville (Kendra), her sister Marina Rampazzo, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Special gratitude is extended to Martha Chavez, Maria Gomez and Norma Barrientos, who became dedicated caregivers and members of the family and affectionately and loyally cared for her during her last 5 years.
A viewing will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046 on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
A mass will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church, 905 Park Avenue, Falls Church, VA, at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held following the mass at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. A reception will follow at the Rappahannock Room of the National Memorial Park.
