On the early morning of February 21st, 2015, Andrew passed away peacefully in his sleep; while in the company of his girlfriend Jasmine Holmes in her apartment in Richmond, Virginia. Andrew was 22 years old.
Andrew Laravie was born at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia at10:20 PM on March 10, 1992. He was the first child of Laura and Brett Laravie.Andrew spent majority of his childhood in Falls Church, VA with parents, sister, and his maternal grandmother. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors riding his bike, playing with friends, going to the creek and torturing his little sister. The majority of his teenage years were spent on the Woodburn basketball court; whether it was strictly dribbling and working on his ‘tricks’ or shooting basket after basket. The love Andrew had for basketball was truly a tremendous dedication. Andrew was always full of life, smiling and making jokes out of everything or anyone he possibly could. He was known as ‘the life of the party’ and had a smile that could steal your heart in seconds. Although he could be extremely silly, he was also respectful of his elders and very polite. His teachers frequently stifled laughs while reprimanding him. Andrew graduated from Falls Church High School in 2011. Shortly after, he rescued the joy of his life Roscoe. They were completely inseparable. Approximately a year ago he moved to Richmond, VA where his outgoing personality contributed to him making many more close friends. Although he was taken to soon, he not only influenced the lives of many but was known to love and appreciate all those in his life.
Andrew is survived by: his parents, Laura Johnson and Brett Laravie, siblings Katherine (Lexi), Josh, Jordyn, and Payton Laravie, maternal grandmother Rosalyn Johnson, paternal grandparents Barry and Lynn Laravie, aunts Lisa Boisvert, Kim Weadon, Gina Laravie, uncles Jerrett and Marc Laravie, cousins Chelsie Wright, Lainie Weadon, Brittany and Jack Ryan Morris, Diane Washburn, Layla and Summer Haines, Jacob and Jessa Laravie.
