I knew Barbara for seventy-five years, first when I joined Job's Daughters and in later years with our group of former Jobies when we met periodically for lunch.  It meant so much to all of us to keep that friendship alive.  The two of us had lunch together only a couple of months before her death.  Always I will remember her as a lovely and gracious Honored Queen and a talented musician.  

Dear Loved ones of Barbara;
Barbara and I met many years ago when we were both officers in the Extension Homemakers of VA. Of course, she went on to become the State President. I served under her as President of Fairfax County (representing the largest county in the state). We became good friends over those years and I enjoyed working with her. I visited her in her home in Arlington and later in Williamsburg.
Then we lost touch over the years. What a delightful surprise I had to renew our friendship once again here at Ashby Ponds!
We both served on the Dining Committee and also the Travel Committee. We frequently got together for dinner and I shall miss her very, very much. We had so many interests in common and often shot emails back and forth-tho we lived very close in the same building.
She blessed all who knew her especially with her piano.
