Benjamin Gerd Mrongowius, 21, of Bryans Road, died Aug. 23, 2012, in Baltimore.
Born Oct. 11, 1990, in Alexandria, Va., he was the son of Lisa and Holger Mrongowius.
He earned an associate degree from the College of Southern Maryland and was a student at the University of Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Alexandra Marie Mrongowius.
A service was held Aug. 26 at Williams Funeral Home, Indian Head. Burial took place at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Va.
