

Carol grew up in Washington DC and attended a local Catholic grade school. She spent time with her siblings, cousins, Grandmother and Uncle Mac. She came of age in post-World War II America and received a bachelor’s degree from the College of New Rochelle.
After graduation, she went to work for AT&T where she met her future husband M. Thomas Keister and they were married in September 1960 and settled in White Plains NY and then moved to Middletown NJ and settled permanently to Falls Church VA. They were married for 52 years until Tom's passing in November 2012.
They had two sons Michael and Stephan. Carol was proud to be a loving stay at home Mom for the boys and served as a Cub Scout den leader and enjoyed cooking and caring for the family, reading the daily newspaper, doing crossword puzzles and caring for her beloved dog Princess. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed the trees and other natural beauty in the neighborhood.
As the children grew into adulthood, Carol pursued her passion for politics and was active as a member of the Republicans Women’s group of Northern Virginia. She also pursued a second career as a bank loan officer. She was a lifelong lover of classical music and particularly enjoyed Beethoven and Chopin. Her grandchildren Nicholas, Ian, Alyssa and Melanie were a particular treasure in her life.
A funeral service will be held for Carol at St. James Catholic church in Falls Church city on Wednesday September 24th at 10:00AM, all who knew Carol are welcome to attend.
