

Cecile was born in Tianjin, China to Joseph & Mary Ni, Parents, on 11/5/1929. She went to schools in Tianjin and Shanghai. She married Edward Tchong for 60 years. She graduated from the Aurora University, Tianjin, with a major in English and French.
Cecile worked as the Executive Secretary in the French Embassy, Taipei, Taiwan for a number of years. She later worked for the Bank of America, Taipei Branch before she immigrated to the U.S. in 1979. She worked in the National Bank of Washington, DC and the U.S. Postal Office Union as the Executive Secretary before retirement.
Cecile was a devout Catholic and raised her ten children in the Catholic faith. She was a good Christian mother and was involved in the children’s education. Cecile is preceded in death by husband Edward Tchong in 2007.
She is survived by 9 children, Josephine Wang, Anna Nysewander, Maria Moy, Clare Deng, Sr. Cecilia Tchong, Peter Tchong, Michael Tchong, Theresa Miller and Paulinus Tchong. Cecile is survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Cecile was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Monetary memorials/donations may be given to the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 3901 Woodburn Road, Annandale, Va 22003.
The entire Tchong family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Drs. Park, Arango and Karim of the INOVA Hospital and the dedicated staff for their excellent care of Cecile during her last days in INOVA.
Viewing will be held on Monday, 11/27/2023, at 12:00 Noon – 2 PM, at the National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042 (703) 560-4400. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Andrew Fisher, Pastor, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 3901 Woodburn Road, Annandale, VA 22003 (703) 280-4400 on Tuesday, 11/28/2023, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the National Park Cemetary at 1 PM.
