Murphy Funeral Homes

ALEXANDRIA—Charles Stanton Hall was called home on August 28th at his childhood home just prior to celebrating his 66th birthday. Born in Washington, D.C. Charlie grew up learning, loving and sharing the rich history that surrounded the region. Williamsburg was one of his favorite places. During his high school years, Charlie played defensive end for Jefferson High School in Alexandria and maintained a lifelong passion playing, coaching and attending sporting events. Graduating with a business degree from George Mason University opened doors to a career in the computer industry. During the last 14 years as sales system engineer with Fujitsu he and his colleagues cultivated an amazing camaraderie and close friendships. If you have never enjoyed Christmas with Charlie Hall then you haven’t experienced Christmas! He made everyone and everything ultra-special. He enjoyed all the traditions: the lights, the music, Christmas movies, candy making, baking with his granddaughters, setting up Christmas houses and villages, hand painting nativity pieces and reading of Christ’s birth from Luke 2:1-20. His favorite color was red. Charlie was larger than life. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his compassion, and most of all his overwhelming love of family. Spending time with his children and granddaughters was always intentional, meaningful and fun! Finally, his faith journey was nurtured by teachings, life-long friends, and pastors from Chantilly Bible Church. Charlie is survived by his son Bradlee, daughter Stacey, granddaughters Audrey and Kaila, ex-wife/life-long friend Patti and sister Nancy. Charlie was preceded in death by his brother Pete, his dad Alfred, and mom Norma. Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Chantilly Bible Church. Charitable donations in honor of Charles S. Hall can be made to: Chantilly Bible Church, 4390 Pleasant Valley Road Chantilly, VA 20151.
