

On Sunday, November 17, 2013, Charles Luria of Fairfax, Virginia, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Annette Luria for over 60 years; devoted father of Robert and daughter-in-law Cynthia, Steven and daughter-in-law Susan, and Mark and daughter-in-law Cindy Luria; loving grandfather of Justin, Collin, David, Benjamin, Lindsey, and Ryan Luria. Born on January 28, 1927 in Washington, D.C. to parents Louis and Anna Luria.
He was a respected Builder of many commercial properties in and around the Washington, D.C. area, including apartments and office buildings; however, he was known most for his development operation of hotels for over 40 years. In addition to his signidicant professional accomplishments, he was a philanthropic leader in the community, dedicating time to, among other things, the board of the Fairfax County Husing Authority, serving as President of the Northern Virginia Builders Association, achieving fellowship with Brandeis University and becoming a founding member of Beth El Hebrew Congregation. Relatives and friends knew him as a genuine gentleman, generous and considerate, optimistic and perservering, with a contagious sense of humor. He loved providing for his family and hosting his friends and will be missed by all those he touched.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Virginia and a gathering of family and friends will be held following the service.
