A Fighter ‘till the End
Born Binh Thach on Feb 18, 1947 in North Vietnam, Diana learned to fight at a very early age. She learned to fight the pain of losing her father when she was five, then she learned to fight hunger during the exodus from North to South Vietnam. As she became an adult and then a wife and a mother, she fought less and loved more. Her children brought joy and tenderness to her life but when her children needed to escape communism, the fighter returned and TKO'd every obstacle in her way. Between fights, she was a foodie. Diana was the original Anthony Bourdain. She loved eating all kinds of cuisine and talking about cooking. To her there was only one thing better than a fantastic meal and that was a fantastic meal with her boys. She passed on June 7, 2018 after a ten year battle with cancer. In her final days she fought for coming home from the hospital and she won. Diana is now in heaven having her favorite dishes and looking down on her four boys: David, Tim, Allen, and Chris. RIP, Ma-a!
